Motorcycle Bug

Written By: Tuen - Jan• 07•08

I’ve been bitten by the motorcycle bug, again.  I used to have a motorcycle license back in Singapore, but I couldn’t convert it here, because my licence was restricted to under 200cc motorbikes.  For some reason, I’m getting a strong desire to ride again, so I’ve signed up to take my Learner’s permit again.  My dream bike, which I hope to ride one day, is a BMW cruiser.

In the meantime, I’m looking at a Honda Forza scooter.  Mary of course, is frowning about this renewed interest of mine.

I’ve noticed that the number of motorbikes in Victoria is very low, compared to Singapore.  You hardly see them on the road, whereas in Singapore, they are everywhere.  I suppose one reason is because cars are cheap here, compared to Singapore, so most people can afford cars.  I wonder if the other reason could be the climate.  Is it too cold to ride in winter and too hot in summer?  Well, I shall find out soon enough.

Apart from the weather, you have no room in the garage for the new big toy.
