Pants’ Fairy

Posted by Tuen on 6th July 2009 in Diary, Family

Our little one never ceases to amaze me. In his videos and television shows, he has come across the tooth fairy and what she does with kids’ teeth when placed under the pillow.

Yesterday afternoon, whilst taking him to the loo, I accidentaly pulled off his pants ‘hook’ or whatchamightcallit; the little metal item that holds the waist of his pants together.

Then yesterday evening, he came to me and said, “Dad, I’ve put my pants buckle under the pillow so that the pants’ fairy will come”!

I couldn’t help laughing out loud. He had made the transference from tooth to pants on his own, and it’s quite marvelous that he can do this at the age of 4. Anyway, the next morning, we left a lollipop in place of the metal piece and he was absolutely delighted.

My hopes for a doctor or lawyer or other highly regarded professional in the family are still alive! (This is no insult to my other kids; not much anyway…  :))

Nat was amazed that Grandma and Grandpa cannot remember having heard of the Fairy Tooth tale. Now, we have have heard of both – Fairy Tooth and Fairy Buckle tales. – the latter copr right of Julian Tan.
The kids might want to ask their Daddy what did you mean by Not much anyway. Agree, Kids.
