Toilet Renovation

Written By: Tuen - Aug• 03•09

We are in the midst of renovating our common bathroom and toilet. We’ve been thinking about doing it for some time now, but a recent discovery pushed us to do it sooner rather than later. I discovered that the shower stall was sinking into the floorboards upstairs! It started with water dripping off the downstairs toilet ceiling lights which led to my discovery that the tiles around one edge of the shower stall was cracked and if one was to look carefully, one could see that the tiles were actually sinking about a quarter inch into the floorboards. The fear of course, was that the whole shower stall would fall through the ceiling.

So that led us to do a major renovation of the bathroom, which has been taking place the last 3 weeks or so. In fact, most of the reno is completed, except for the new shower stall, which is still on a ship somewhere on it’s way to our contractor! The ETA is 10th August, so in the meantime, the master bedroom en suite has been used by everyone in the house.
