Mike Brewer Choir Workshop

Written By: Tuen - Mar• 14•11

Knox school’s Pengana choir participated in a choir workshop conducted by Mike Brewer, who is the UK choral master and facilitator for youth choir, last Friday. Mike coordinated the many participating choirs during the day to prepare a pretty long choral piece, which they presented in the evening. The piece is a compendium of different pieces of choral music from all over the world, and involves a few different languages (I think). Wen was complaining that she didn’t understand what they were singing and they were mispronouncing the words often. But the end result was really pretty good and unique, and I thought I would include the entire piece below. It’s about 12 minutes long, but I think it’s well worth listening and watching the way Mike conducts the choir.
